Yes they do on the table, food there is amazing. 7 year weekly patron
Koji is the best sushi in the Lloyd center/Inner NE area. Koji has some great authentic Japanese dishes. I personally go for places that are as authentic to what Japanese people enjoy as possible. Their tamago, futomaki, and spicy tuna are very good. Their spicy tuna came with shaved shallots in seasame oil. Great combo! Considering what you get for the price, the quality of the fish, Koji is a must.
Very good
Service was good. I had the ramen and it was great! Clean, and good prices. My only thing was the sushi wasn't that great. It's kinda hard to eat cause it wasn't super tight. And there was a lot of cucumber in there! But overall I would go back again!
Yummy! Small place so I bet it gets busy at peak times we went at 1:30 on a Sunday and got the last table. Lots of counter seats still availabe though.
Great service. Great food.
The quality of the sushi is great here, and it is priced accordingly. It's a great place for a date, though I typically just meet my wife here for lunch when we're in the area.
Great food n service!
I went for lunch with a friend and the service was great!!! The food was fresh and delicious! I loved the familial atmosphere.
The food is delicious and you can order quite a variety and have some Saki. Best if your friend Harry from Japan orders! Koji and staff very welcoming! It's one of those places you get a yen for (pun intended)!
Japanese comfort food.
Fresh sushi. You can watch it being prepared and they always use quality freshest ingredients. Delicious options. We love coming for lunch! Literally everything on their menu is delicious! It had been our go-to sushi place for the last 10 years!
delicious food at reasonable prices! had the chicken katsu curry and negihama roll and was not disappointed
This place is one of my favorites in NE! AMAZING food, friendly staff, and quick service...I’ve never been disappointed here.
Really great broth. Great stop before a movie or Lloyd center shopping
I love the kistune tojii udon with miso broth instead of the regular broth. One of my favorite comfort and treat meals. The seaweed salad is also good
This place pulls no punches. You get great food, unassuming atmosphere and full power drinks. I got a bento box, a roll and a drink and walked away incredibly happy. I will most definitely be coming back.
Especially tasty and unusual spicy tuna roll with whole tuna pieces and spicy oil. They have gluten free soy sauce but I was informed all miso from Japan has some wheat in it... Delicious hot sake; wasabe was good; wish ginger wasn't the red dye kind but tasty nonetheless. Right now they have an amazing buttery salmon. My friend from Japan especially goes there for the curry dish. I used to go for the rib eye. Yum! A long time staple depending on if I'm in that neighborhood and craving sushi. If I lived near there I'd be there every week!
Clean clean restaurant. Tables were clean counter was clean. Food with freshly made. Enjoyed watching the chefs make the food. Was a bit crowded but that is expected for a restaurant that has good food and good service.
Best chicken teriyaki bowl ever. Also very friendly service
Staff was great food was awesome 5 star service highly recommend this place. Btw I walked in 10 minutes before closing time they attended us an did not rush us out.
Overall, the food was good and the service excellent. I went there for take out food. There was a disconnect in the response about what compromised the salad. I specifically asked this question because I have an allergy to cucumber. I was not told that it had cucumber so I couldn't ask for the cucumber to be omitted with the result that I had to throw it away.
Absolutely had the most amazing Sushi! Very light and airy environment! Everything we had was absolutely fantastic! The presentation of the food was truly and art form! Beautiful!! So super fresh and we were served very quickly! Staff were so courteous and friendly! Can’t wait to go back again! ❤️ our new favorite Sushi place!
Just had lunch. We were the only one's in restaurant. They have outdoor seating now. Very friendly owner. Help support his business. Good food.
Great bites friendly service
Stopped by for lunch. Nice service, Soba noodles tori soup (chicken) excellant, brought left overs home. Everyone was so Hungary I missed taking their lunch photos.
I gave it 4 stars because the service and the price were very good. This was my first time to try Japanese food and i think it will be the last time, not because the place isn’t good but obviously I didn’t like Japanese food 😅.However, my Japanese friend was with me and she like it.
Absolutely delicious sushi. The sushi chef was very professional and polite. The dishes were beautiful and well presented. Onr of the best sushi place I have been to
Heck yes! Delicious sushi, friendly servers and good prices. I want to eventually make my way through the entire menu, we love this place. They usually have an interesting specials menu with rolls and items like a variety of salmon sashimi. Great drinks too! Very tasty! Don't forget about the downtown location on SW Broadway.
I tried the salmon don buri bowl and was disappointed by the quality of salmon that was used.. it definitely had a bit of a chew to it and not great flavor. I also sampled the chicken curry entree and was disappointed by the thinness of the curry sauce.. the chicken itself was good. Our service was also not great. There was only one server and two chefs.. she clearly got overwhelmed by a few tables getting seated around the same time. We waited until our food was almost out to get our round of drinks.. overall would pass on this place in the future. Only went because of the proximity to wonder ballroom
Sushi tasted good. Pricy for what you get. Service was good. 5 individual pieces of sushi, miso soup and an okay appetizer was $22. The fried tofu in broth appetizer, I will never get again. Looks like the lunch boxes are a much better value.
Quick lunch during work. We enjoyed the Bento box and sushi. Will go again.
It was nice sushi with good price!
expensive for small items and the employees drink their own beer while working
One of my absolute favorites. Their sushi is always fresh and delicious but also the rest of the menu (especially tonkatsu donburi is great). I've been going here from years and have always been happy with the food and impressed by the friendly and warm service. If you are looking for a kansai-style Japanese food in Portland, this definitely the place!
Actually tastes like the food I ate in Tokyo.Would definitely recommend and go back.Yumminess
Expensive for lunch! WOW! It took a while to get our food so not a stop for my next lunch. The food was fine no one came back for water refills or asked us about drinks. Skip it go to the food court at Lloyd Center.
This is the go to place for curry rice. Their chicken katsu curry is the best, it's one of the things I crave when I go to Portland. The sushi is also excellent, super fresh, and tasty.
This place really is great overall. The service is good, and the food is good what else you want. Average price for a entree I would say is 9-13 dollars so if that's in your price range I would highly recommend it.
Delightful food, wonderful service, amazing atmosphere. Cozy without being too small. Reminded me of food from Japan.
This restaurant has a great authentic Japanese food and a very friendly staff!Try the Unagi avocado, caterpillar rolls, Alaska and the seaweed salad and many more!
We stopped in on a rainy afternoon and had a great meal.
I tried the angry dragon roll and it was AWESOME! The presentation of the food is excellent. The waitress that served us at our table was very nice and her service was superb! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for either good teriyaki food or sushi. 5 stars!
Great place. Very inviting.
Extremely welcoming, friendly, obliging and well trained staff. The food was also great and we'll be coming back. We had the grilled salmon donburi - the rice comes with dry seaweed slivers mixed in which was delicious. Ikura nigiri was delicious and handed to us by a very friend sushi chef. We'll definitely come back. A great place to take a rest from shopping in the malls nearby an have some peace and quiet in this cozy place.
The food was pretty good, but the service was not great. We were there first before the rush but were quickly forgotten. Also, our order was wrong and we only ordered two things. No apologies from staff, and lunch ended up being 1.5 hours- I've worked as a server and am pretty patient/understanding of a rush etc...I likely will not be visiting this location again.
Great customer service and delicious food.I had the combination lunch Yakiniku and Vegetable Tempura along with some sushi rolls.Combination Lunch was a great price!!
Nice atmosphere, kind servers. Prices were a bit spendy.
Great sushi. I mean really good. Nice motif, staff was friendly, and prices were very reasonable. I will make it a point to come here the next time I am in town. Five stars for sure!
Food is great, and the sashimi is awesome...service is great if you ask for Nate, the other server was inattentive.
Consistently great Raman and sushi. My go-to feel-good food on a cold Portland day.
